What is EchoLive?
EchoLive is a content-to-audio platform that converts text, articles, and documents into professional speech audio using 400+ AI voices across 100+ languages.
Is EchoLive free?
Yes, EchoLive has a free tier with 2,500 credits per month. This is enough to convert a few short articles. For heavier usage, you can purchase credit packages starting at $5.
Do I need a subscription?
No. EchoLive uses a pay-as-you-go credit system. Buy credits when you need them - no monthly subscription required. Credits last for 1 year.
What languages are supported?
EchoLive supports 100+ languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), Arabic, Hindi, Russian, Turkish, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, and many more.
How many voices are available?
Over 400 Azure Neural Voices are available, with multiple voice options per language. Many voices support different speaking styles like narration, conversational, newscast, and more.
Credits and Billing
How do credits work?
1 credit = 1 character of standard voice text-to-speech. HD/Professional voices cost 1.5 credits per character. There is a minimum charge of 100 credits per request.
How many credits do I need for an article?
A typical article of 3,000-5,000 characters costs about 3,000-5,000 credits with a standard voice, or 4,500-7,500 credits with an HD voice.
Do credits expire?
Purchased credits expire 365 days after purchase. Free monthly credits replenish each month.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, debit cards, and other methods through Stripe.
Can I get a refund?
Contact our support team for refund requests. We handle them on a case-by-case basis.
How do I redeem a coupon code?
You can redeem coupon codes in Settings > Billing > Redeem Coupon.

What is Quick Read?
Quick Read is the simplest way to convert text to audio. Paste text, pick a voice, and generate. Available to all users.
What is Studio?
Studio is a professional audio editor for creating multi-segment projects. Assign different voices to different sections, fine-tune settings per segment, and export in multiple formats. Available from the Producer tier.
What is Daily Brief?
Daily Brief is an auto-generated personal podcast from your subscribed feeds. It curates the most relevant articles and narrates them for you each day. Available from the Starter tier.
What are HD voices?
HD (High Definition) voices are premium Azure Neural Voices with enhanced naturalness and quality. They cost 1.5x standard credits and are available from the Creator tier.
What is Voice DNA?
Voice DNA is EchoLive's intelligent recommendation system that learns your voice preferences over time and suggests voices you'll like. Available from the Starter tier.
What file formats can I upload?
PDF, DOCX (Word), Markdown (.md), plain text (.txt), and HTML files. You can also import content by pasting a URL.
What audio formats can I export?
MP3 (all users), WAV (Creator+), AAF (Professional+), Timeline JSON (Professional+), and Segments ZIP (Producer+).
Can I use different voices in one project?
Yes, in Studio mode you can assign a different voice to each segment of your project. This is great for dialogue, multi-narrator content, or varying tone across sections.
Tiers
How do I unlock more features?
Tiers are based on your lifetime spending. As you purchase more credits, you automatically move up tiers and unlock more features. There is no separate tier subscription.
Do tiers expire?
No. Once you reach a tier, you keep it permanently.
What tier do I need for Studio?
Studio requires the Producer tier (approximately $700 in lifetime purchases).
What tier do I need for HD voices?
HD voices are available from the Creator tier (approximately $100 in lifetime purchases).
Technical
How fast is audio generation?
First audio is typically ready in 2-5 seconds. Full generation for longer content takes 8-15 seconds depending on length and complexity.
Is there an API?
Yes, EchoLive offers an API for programmatic access. API documentation and key management are available in Settings for eligible tiers.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Each user has their own isolated database. We use encryption for sensitive data, and we never log user content in production. Audio files are stored securely with presigned URLs that expire after 7 days.
What browsers are supported?
EchoLive works in all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
Troubleshooting
My audio generation is slow.
Check your internet connection. If the issue persists, it may be due to high demand. Try again in a few minutes or contact support.
I can't hear the audio.
Make sure your browser's audio is not muted. Check your device volume. Try refreshing the page. If using headphones, ensure they're properly connected.
My credits aren't showing after purchase.
Credits are usually added instantly. If they're not appearing, try refreshing the page. If the issue persists, contact support with your transaction details.
I can't access a feature.
Some features are tier-locked. Check Settings > Billing to see your current tier and what features are available. You may need to purchase more credits to unlock higher tiers.
My feed isn't updating.
Feeds refresh on a schedule. Make sure the feed URL is valid and the source website is online. Try removing and re-adding the feed. Auto-refresh requires the Creator tier.
